A woman has appeared in Longford District Court charged with the theft of lamb chops, which she allegedly put inside her skirt.
Romanian woman Neta Anghel (25), of Mullaghavorneen, Longford, appeared last week before Judge Fiona Brennan, where evidence was given of an alleged theft which took place on May 18 last.
Sergeant Mark Mahon, for the state, told the court that seven packs of lamb chops, valued at over €60, were taken on the date in question, and that the accused allegedly put the items inside her skirt.
Ms Anghel was remanded on bail and will reappear in court on October 1, 2024.
