There was deep regret across the parish on Saturday, August 10, when news spread of the passing of Kathleen Quinn, Bray and formerly Clooneen, after a long illness.
Kathleen was the daughter of the late Pat and Kathleen Reilly (formerly Corcoran) of Clooneen and was a member of a well-liked and long-established Clooneen family.
After her education at Clooneen school, she went to Dublin where she met and married her husband Frank Quinn, a native of Dublin, and they settled in Bray where they brought up their family.
Kathleen was a regular visitor to her home parish before her recent illness and was a pleasant and good-natured person and a good friend and neighbour to all, and she will be greatly missed by her family and community.
She is survived by her husband Frank, her children Evelyn, Liam, Marian, and Niall, her sisters Marion Farrell (Finea) and Anne Reilly (Navan), her brothers Matty (Aughnagarron) and Patrick Stephen (Arizona), her sons-in-law John Delaney and John Toner, her daughter-in-law Eimear Quinn, her grandchildren Seán, Ellen, Jack, Sarah, Grace, Alex, and Maria, her sisters-in-law Ann Marie, Connie, and Gloria, her brothers-in-law Fr. Bernard, Charlie, and Noel, her nieces and nephews, her relatives, neighbours and friends to all of whom we offer our profound sympathies.
Her Funeral Mass took place on Monday morning, August 12 at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Bray, followed by interment in Springfield Cemetery, Bray.
