Longford's Inspector Frank Finn has been promoted to Superintendent at Castlerea Garda Station
A new Superintendent has been appointed to Longford Garda Station.
An Garda Síochána has announced that Superintendent Michael Dorrigan has been transferred to Longford Garda Station where he will have responsibility for the Community Engagement Area of the Mayo/ Roscommon/ Longford Garda Division.
The appointment comes just seven weeks since Supt Dorrigan, who was previously Detective Inspector in County Meath, was promoted to Roscommon Garda Station.
Supt Dorrigan replaces Superintendent Seamus Boyle who retired from on July 5 after 38 years service in An Garda Síochána.
Meanwhile, Longford's Inspector Frank Finn has been promoted to Superintendent at Castlerea Garda Station where he will have responsibility for the Crime Functional Area of the Mayo / Roscommon/ Longford Garda Division.

Superintendent Jason Miley, on promotion to Roscommon Garda Station with responsibility for Roscommon Community Engagement Area (Garda Operating Model), Mayo/ Roscommon/Longford Division.
Superintendent Barry Mills on promotion to Roscommon Garda Station with responsibility for Mayo/ Roscommon/Longford Performance Assurance Functional Area (Garda Operating Model), Mayo/ Roscommon/Longford Garda Division.
Superintendent Peter Conlon on promotion to Ballina Garda Station with responsibility for Mayo North Community Engagement Area (Garda Operating Model), Mayo/ Roscommon/ Longford Garda Division.
