The third annual Dromard Camino Walk took place on Saturday with almost 300 participants taking part.
Fine weather conditions added to the occasion along with what attendees described as a "brilliant atmosphere" as the crowds gathered from early morning at the Clubhouse.
Organisers of the routes provided walkers with a choice of the full Camino route (35km) around the perimeter of the Parish or the 20km option both of which were safe and had scenic surroundings for all to enjoy on their trek.
The local community were out in force for the event offering their hospitality, support and encouragement of participants going along the route which organisers said made for a memorable day.
As the walkers returned to the clubhouse, well-earned hot refreshments were served and participants received their Camino medals.
Dromard GAA and the Camino Walk Committee would like to sincerely thank everyone who played a part in making their second camino walk "a tremendous success."
The committee said:
"Thanks to the almost 300 participants who travelled from the four provinces to join us. Thanks to our large group of volunteer stewards for their professionalism and good humour in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all our walkers."
