Longford District Court: Man stole beer from supermarket

A man who took beer from a Longford supermarket has been ordered to pay €250 to the court poor box.
Nicolas Holub, 1A Congress Terrace, St Michael's Road, Longford, appeared before Judge Bernadette Owens at Longford District Court last Tuesday, where it was heard he had taken the beer on April 20 of this year at around 1.10pm.

The court heard that Mr Holub was “fully cooperative” inside the store, but was “highly intoxicated” and, when he was outside the store, started to argue that he didn't know the beer wasn't paid for.
Judge Owens ordered him to pay a sum of €250 to the court poor box.
