The Longford Community Games annual general meeting takes place in the Longford Arms Hotel on Wednesday, October 23 at 8pm.
Each Community Games area in the county is entitled to be represented by three delegates.
The Leinster Community Games annual general meeting took place in the County Arms Hotel, Birr on Sunday afternoon last.
Longford enjoyed amazing success at the recent Cairn Community Games National Finals and among the highlights was the gold medal winning performance of the Longford South U12 Ballad Group.
In addition to singing, they performed using sign language, and it was lovely to see the children reaching out to all of the community.
Vilta Krasikova, Longford South, U10 Girls 100m; Joe Rooney, Mostrim, U10 Boys 100m and Niamh Lawlor, Drumlish / Ballinamuck, U16 Model Making also won gold.
