Kenagh GAA hosted two events as part of their involvement in the GAA Healthy Clubs Programme last Friday.
Martina Dunne (Midland Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force) and Tom Conlon (GAA Task Force ) facilitated a Drugs information and awareness workshop for members of the Longford GAA club.
The aim of this workshop is to create awareness around alcohol and drugs and to educate people on the associated dangers.
Earlier that evening St Dominic's officially became smoke and vape free, adopting this policy protecting all who use club facilities from second hand smoke and creating safer grounds for all.
Helena Egan explained, “The aim of both these initiatives is to promote the health and wellbeing of all our members and those of the wider community. Our thanks to all who supported us on the night.”
