James Doyle, known from TikTok as James Doyle Fitness or probably best known as Protein Bor has been nominated for the UK and Ireland TikTok Creator Awards.

This is a great achievement for the Irish influencer and one of many as he recently hit a whopping one million followers just last year.

James is from just beside Longford, growing up in Leitrim but has been a large part of Longford Rugby Club since he was a child and recently returned to the senior team in September.

His mother Kathrina McGuinness was unsurprisingly over the moon for him.

“I am very proud of him, of everything he’s done and everything he’s achieved,” she said

“He’s in the States at the minute for five weeks so he’s missing the whole build-up but he’s trying to stay as connected as he can.

“He is very excited, it’s an honour to be nominated, he’s the only Irish creator in his category.”

James played with Longford Youth Rugby for many years since he was 13 years old.

He has since returned to the Longford Senior team.

“It’s hard to commit to something with his schedule, it is really hard but he always loved rugby.

“He’s always loved it, he played for Longford and was delighted to get back.”

Kathrina didn’t always know that her son was an internet celebrity first realising just how well known he was on a family holiday.

“I didn’t even have a TikTok, I didn’t even know what TikTok was until we were on holidays and people kept coming over looking for his photo and I was like, “What’s going on James?”

The awards will be taking place in London on December 3.
While James will not be able to attend due to prior commitments make sure to show your support for the Longford Senior Player.
