Maura Higgins' mammy Sharon has revealed how proud she is of her daughter and the manner in which the former Love Island star is embracing her epic I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! journey.
Speaking on the 'Lorraine' Show with Lorraine Kelly, Sharon spoke about how Maura was 'really embracing' her time in the Australian jungle and that she was happy her daughter was getting an opportunity to show 'she has a vulnerable side'.
A letter from Sharon to her daughter was also read out during the I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! show.
Meanwhile, sitting around the camp fire , the campmates discussed fame and its impact.
Maura spoke about her experience of fame post Love Island, as she shared: “Coming back into Heathrow airport it was mayhem, the security had to drag us onto a bus because there were swamps of people.”
She added: “I didn’t know what to expect.”
In the Jungle Arms, Maura took on Celine Dion’s power ballad, It’s All Coming Back To Me Now, as she laughed and said: “Celine is gonna be obsessed with me!”

Melvin gave the camp a rendition of Hey Ya, which got everyone up dancing as Maura, Oti and GK became his back up dancers.
Danny also belted out Bon Jovi’s Livin on a Prayer. While Oti sang Whitney Houston’s I have Nothing. Plus GK, in front of Danny, sang McFly’s Obviously.
As well as more turns on the microphone from the campmates there was a group singalong of The Communards- Don’t Leave Me This Way.
Maura said: "This is the best day of our lives."
The following morning, Maura said of her Celine Dion rendition: “There’s a lot of jealousy down in camp this morning, I think a few of them might be threatened over my success as a singer when I leave here.”
Taking on the Arcade of Agony in a bid to win her way to the Celebrity Cyclone, Maura said: “I’m not particularly excited about it, I’m very nervous and I don’t really know what to expect.”
Maura screamed her way through and came up with an unusual tactic to break the balls open, squatting down and hitting the ball on the floor.
With only one minute remaining, and it being up to Maura and Oti to find the remaining two stars, Ant shouted: “This is really tense!!”
And with just ten seconds remaining, Oti managed to find her star. When they finished the Trial, it appeared Maura was impressed with her competitive performance, as she said: “F**k me, that was good! I think I broke a nail!”
