The woman was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries. She was pronounced deceased yesterday evening.

ESB Networks have received reports of a large number of outages in County Longford in the wake of Storm Daragh. The electricity network provider are working on restoring power in near Longford, Ardgah, Edgeworthstown, Newtornforbes, Killashee, Ballymacormack, Aughnacliff, and Moyne .
The powercheck website say most faults were reported at 23:57 yesterday (06/12/2024).
The estimated restore time is 19:00 today. There are hundreds customers affected by the disruptions.
ESB Networks have apologised for the loss of supply. They are currently working to repair a fault affecting premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.
