Karen O’Boyle - Sponsor: Coral Leisure Longford
Karen O’Boyle is 20 years old and is studying in ATU Galway, doing a Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching. She is in her second year and loving it. At the weekend she does swimming lessons with kids of all levels in Coral Leisure Longford. She has been doing this for four years now and she derives great satisfaction from seeing each of the kid’s progress. A life highlight is when Karen and her sisters swam 3.9km and raised over €8,000 for three local charities, Cian’s Kennels, the Ollie Cox Injury Fund and Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. Karen ran her first Dublin marathon with her Mum in October 2024, describing the experience as one of her sporting highlights.
