“The PPN helps local people share their ideas with the government. It makes sure everyone’s voice is heard. I was delighted to join the secretariat and help these functions and in particular help give communities a stronger voice on environmental and climate action issues.

“Right now, the PPN helps groups work together to fix problems in the community. It also gives support and training to help these groups do a better job. This is particularly important for groups in learning about, and taking relative constructive actions, when facing the ever-emerging climate crisis.

“In the future, the PPN can help make the community stronger and improve local services by growing membership and gaining community consensus on the actions needed for the improvement of environmental challenges faced by Longford communities.

“With a strong PPN, communities will have a stronger voice and it will make decisions fairer for everyone in Longford.”
