Sacred Heart Primary School, Granard hosted a memorable celebration of the Blue Star Programme on May 30, with MEP Ciarán Mullooly as special guest.
The event featured impressive student projects, including detailed models of famous EU landmarks, showcasing the children’s creativity and their knowledge of European culture and sustainability.

One of the highlights of the day was an interview panel, where students had the chance to ask MEP Mullooly a series of thought-provoking questions.
The panel focused on key topics such as Brexit, inflation and the life of an MEP. MEP Mullooly shared his insights into the challenges and rewards of being a European Parliament member.

In a special moment, he invited Sacred Heart Primary School to visit Brussels next year, offering pupils an opportunity to see European policymaking in action.
