Janni Bars is celebrating as it was the only Irish company to take gold at the Europe-wide, Free From Skincare Awards.

Janni Bars’ hugely popular Hemp and Honey Lip balm was awarded first place in the ‘Lip Care' category at the prestigious awards, receiving rave reviews from the judges who described it as: "love the ingredients, love the packaging.

"It just got on with its job, in its understated way, delivered more than I had hoped for and more than I could have expected."

Janni Bars’ Hemp and Honey Lip Balm is a nourishing blend of Irish heather honey and cold-pressed hemp seed oil, formulated to soothe and hydrate even the driest lips.

The honey, sustainably sourced from Irish bees, brings natural antibacterial properties and a subtle sweetness, while hemp seed oil delivers a rich dose of omega fatty acids to deeply moisturize and protect.

With no synthetic additives and packaged plastic-free, this balm reflects Janni Bars’ commitment to natural, effective skincare rooted in sustainability and local ingredients.

Now in their 14th year, the Free From Skincare Awards were founded to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products from across Europe that are free from either artificial ingredients, or animal-based ingredients, or fragrances, or food allergens, and other ingredients associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, and ethical, environmental and health concerns.

The award winners were announced following a long judging process which included a rigorous month-long assessment by four experienced cosmetic testers, concluding with round-table expert judging sessions.
