John Dolan, Ballinalee, Longford / Mohill, Leitrim

The death occurred on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 of John Dolan, Ballinalee, Co Longford and formerly of Mohill, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by parents Frank and Margaret Dolan, brothers Patrick and James. John will be deeply missed by his wife Bridie and their children; Francis, Brian, Claire, John and Barbara, their spouses and partners; Zee, Mairéad and Mark. His grandchildren; Aishling, Cathal, Donnacha, Michael, Emma and Isabelle. Sadly missed by his sister Alacoque, neighbours and close friends. 

May he rest in peace. Reposing at his home, Gurteen, Ballinalee, Co Longford, N39 YR84 on Friday, June 20 4-8pm. Funeral mass June 21 Holy Trinity Church, Ballinalee, 12 noon with burial afterwards in St Emer's Cemetery, Ballinalee. Family flowers only donations in lieu to the Irish Cancer Society Care of Farrell's Funeral Directors, Ballinalee.

Martin Fagan, Bayside, Dublin / Ballyfermot, Dublin / Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred suddenly, after a short illness on Sunday, June 15, 2025 of Martin Fagan, Bayside, Dublin / Ballyfermot, Dublin / Drumlish, Longford. Predeceased by his loving parents Rachel and Sonny.

Missed by his four sons Tom, Steve, Chris and Brian and their mum Marie. Fondly remembered by his daughters-in-law Claire, Zehra and Hannah, grandchildren Caoimhe, Daire, Conor, Imogen and Rory. Martin will be sadly missed by his loving sister Rita and his brothers Danny, Thomas and Christy, along with all the extended family, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, good neighbours and good friends in both Dublin and Longford. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. 

Martin will arrive at Dardistown Crematorium (K67 HP26) on Saturday, June 21 for 12.30pm, followed by cremation.

Thomas McGee, Treanmore, Mohill, Co Leitrim

It is with great sadness that we announce the death at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a brave fight with a long illness on Thursday, June 19, 2025 of Thomas McGee, Treanmore, Mohill, Co. Leitrim.

Predeceased by his father; James, sisters; Eileen and Chrissy and brother; Michael. Thomas will be forever loved and missed by his beloved partner; Paula Reynolds, daughter; Shania and son; Keanu his mother; Breege, brother; Seamus, sisters; Cathy, Maggie, Breda, Treasa, Veronica, Jenny, Mary and Anna, his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, beloved friends and neighbours. May Thomas Rest in Peace.

Thomas will repose at his residence at No. 22 Treanmore, Mohill on Saturday, June 21 from 3pm – 5pm and on Sunday, June 22 from 3 – 5pm. Remains to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Mohill for Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Monday, June 23. Burial afterwards to the adjoining cemetery. Thomas’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed HERE

Thomas will be forever loved and cherished by his partner; Paula, children, family and friends. The McGee and Reynolds’ families appreciate the sympathy and support shown to them at this very sad and difficult time.

Elizabeth (Lil) Faughnan (née Beirne), Drumard, Dromod, Co Leitrim

The death occurred in her 94th year, peacefully in the gentle care of the staff at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 19, 2025 of Elizabeth (Lil) Faughnan (nee Beirne) Drumard, Dromod, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas, brothers and sisters: Mary, Sally, Michael and Tommy. Deeply regretted by her daughters Anne and Marie and her sons Brian, Gerard and Paul, her brother John and his wife Margaret, her grandchildren Sarah, Sophia, Emma and Isabel. Sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Siobhán, sons-in-law Brendan and Joe as well as her nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Elizabeth will repose at St Joseph’s Church, Cloonturk (N41 PF82) on Saturday, June 21 from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, June 22 at 12.30pm in St Joseph’s Church, Cloonturk followed by burial in Cloonmorris Cemetery. Mass can be viewed HERE

There will be no 9.30am Mass in Cloonturk Church on Sunday morning, June 22.

Maureen Eakins (née Egan), Malahide, Dublin / Sligo / Ballinamore, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 of Maureen Eakins (née Egan) Malahide, Dublin and formerly of Sligo and Ballinamore, Co Leitrim and late of Trinity College Dublin.   

Predeceased by her parents Tom and Rose and brother Kevin. Beloved wife of Raymond. Very sadly missed by her loving husband, children Keelin, Fionán, Muireann and Blathnaid, daughter-in-law Trish, sons-in-law Mathieu and Adrian, her adored grandchildren Beau, Aiden, Alannah, Pearl, Jacob and Robyn, sister Rosaleen, sisters-in-law Patricia and Collette, brother-in-law Michael, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home on Friday, June 20 from 5pm to 7pm. Removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seabury, Malahide on Saturday morning, June 21 for 10am Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Christopher (Noel) Monahan, Whitehall, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath / Rathdowney, Laois

The death occurred peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Thursday, June 19, 2025 of Christopher (Noel) Monahan, Whitehall, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and formerly of Rathdowney, Co Laois. May Christy Rest In Peace.

Christopher's Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 21 in the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, Co Laois (R32 AX65) at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Errill Cemetery.
