Longford woman Olivia Mollaghan, who was a finalist in this year's Miss Ireland competition, has thanked local people and the community for the 'amazing support and encouragement' she received.
The 22 year-old former student of Meán Scoil Mhuire, graduated with first class honours in Communications from Dublin City University (DCU) in 2024 and she now works as a News Coordinator with RTE.
Olivia said it has been an honour to represent Longford and she is thankful to every person 'who stood by me along the way'.

"I would like to express my sincere thanks to my wonderful community for the amazing support and encouragement I received throughout my journey in the Miss Ireland competition.
"Whilst I did not win, being part of the final eight was an incredible experience that I’ll always cherish.
"Your kindness, votes and unwavering belief in me made this journey possible.
