With a reputation for being the friendliest marathon in the country, the 2025 Abbott Longford Marathon was a huge success and attracted athletes from across the country.
The streets of Longford were a hive of activity throughout last Sunday and the following were the main results;
Marathon
Male: 1st Matthew Collins (Portmarnock AC) 2:33:13, 2nd Barry McEvoy 2:38:52, 3rd Peter Mooney (Na Fianna AC) 2:43:18
Female: 1st Catherine O’Connor (Slí Cualann AC) 2:59:55, 2nd Emma Laura Martin Horner (Willowfield Harriers) 3:04:46, 3rd Olivia Sexton (Portmarnock AC) 3:20:42
