Driver Released Without Charge Following Collision in Longford Town

Pedestrian in her 20's treated for non-life threatening injuries, Gardaí say.

The driver arrested at the scene of last Friday’s traffic collision in Longford Town has been released without charge pending further inquiries, a Garda spokesperson told The Longford Leader.

A pedestrian - confirmed to be a woman in her 20's - was knocked down during the incident which occurred on Earl Street.

She was treated by paramedics on the scene before being brought to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

Gardai say her injuries are non-life threatening. The investigation remains ongoing.
