Man fined for engaging in abusive and insulting behaviour at Longford train station

A 27 year old man, charged with having engaged in threatening, abusive, and insulting behaviour at Longford Train Station on May 13 this year, has been fined €250 and given three months to pay. 

Patrick McDonagh of 45 Greenfort Estate, Sligo, was originally arrested and cautioned by Garda John Creegan of Longford Garda Station at 4.25pm on May 13 this year in respect of Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994 before being charged by Garda Cathal Slattery. 

At a recent sitting of Longford District Court, Judge Bernadette Owens fined Mr McDonagh €250 and gave him three months to make the payment.
