The average price of housing in Longford continues to rise, the latest Daft.ie report has revealed.
The report details the cost of various house types for each county in the third quarter of 2025.
The average price of a four-bedroom detached house in Longford was €304,000, up 2.8% on a year ago.
The largest increase was in the cost of a four-bedroom terraced house, which increased by 18.2% to an average price of €189,000.
Meanwhile, the cost of semi-detached houses also increased, with four-beds averaging at €234,000 and three-beds at €199,000.

5-bed detached houses was the only category that experienced a decrease, albeit a modest one at 2.1%.
Commenting on the report, its author Ronan Lyons, Professor in Economics at Trinity College Dublin, said: "The predominant theme has been a shortage of supply.
"There are some indications in this latest report that new homes are sustaining activity levels in the market, even though construction is still low compared to underlying need.
“More construction – and a healthier second-hand segment – are the key ingredients needed if the story of the Irish housing market over the years to come is to be a happier one.”
