The case was heard at Longford District Court
A 39 year old woman who stands accused of having assaulted two women after approaching one to ask for the return of her children’s ball, will re-appear before Longford District Court on November 11.
Ms Mary Little, of 10 Sli Corglass, Legga Moyne, Longford, is charged with having committed assault causing harm to two women on March 15 this year.
It is alleged that on the date in question the defendant called to her neighbour’s house to ask for the return of her children’s ball.
The situation is said to have then escalated, with the neighbour reporting her hair “being pulled out of her head” the court heard.
Representing Ms Little, solicitor John Quinn, said his client was in receipt of carers allowance and he was therefore seeking legal aid.
Disclosure was taken up for the purpose of jurisdiction in respect of the alleged assault, with the prosecution, Sgt Enda Daly, indicating it would be ready by November 11.
