Farrell Clan to hold AGM in Longford Arms Hotel

They invite all Clan members, descendants, friends and neighbours to come and join

The Farrell Clan, with a lineage deeply rooted in Co Longford, is pleased to announce its upcoming AGM to be held on Sunday, November 16, at 3.30 pm in The Longford Arms Hotel.

We invite all Clan members, descendants, friends and neighbours to come and join us as we continue to plan our 10th International Farrell Clan Rally in July 2026.

The Farrell name has long been interwoven with the history and character of Longford. For centuries, members of our clan have been farmers, artisans, teachers, civic leaders, storytellers, merchants, military and neighbours – contributing in countless ways to the strength, vigour and identity of our local communities.

We remain committed to preserving that legacy; that spirit of generosity; that respect for land and heritage and the friendship that connects each generation to the next.

Why not come along to our AGM and help shape the direction of the clan going forward? We also invite you to contribute your ideas for our upcoming Farrell Clan Rally in July 2026. This Rally promises to be the biggest and best to date with bookings already from Australia, Argentina, USA, Canada, Catalonia, Costa Rica, Fiji and Great Britain! Tuesday 21st July will be a momentous occasion as Charlotte O’Ferrall is inaugurated as Chieftain, on the ancient inauguration site in Granard, in succession to her late father Conal.

The AGM will be preceded by our annual dinner, also in The Longford Arms, at 1.30pm. You are most welcome to join us for lunch at a cost of €40. Reservations should be made to the Secretary by email at secretary@farrellclan.ie , or by phone to 086-6075884 by Thursday, November 13.

We reach out to our international members on social media. As part of our AGM, we will be recording a Christmas message to send to family members abroad.

This year, we reach out to Farrells living in other counties, or those with a keen interest in history to participate in our AGM. Come and join us on the day and you too can help shape the future destiny of the Farrell Clan.
