‘Bog Story’ is the title of a new exhibition of photographs by Luke Danniells, an award-winning photographer who hails from Newtowncashel in County Longford. The exhibition is funded by an Arts Project Award which Luke received in 2025 and is hosted by Longford County Arts Services.

The exhibition is a study of Longford’s bogland rendered in a photojournalistic style that documents the last days of the boglands as an industry. The images ask the viewer to consider ‘What gets left behind when an industry ends’ and ‘How nature, in only a few years has already begun to reclaim the bog’.

The exhibition will be held in the Atrium of the Longford County Council Building, Áras an Chontae, Great Water Street, Longford, N39-WH56. All are welcome to attend.
