Ann Madden (née Curwin), Cloonellan, Drumlish, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 9, 2025 of Ann Madden (nee Curwin) Cloonellan, Drumlish, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her daughter Chantelle, uncles Hughie and Jack McGuire. Sadly missed by her husband Donal, daughter Amber, step children Sam, Rachel, Hayleigh and Daniel, grandchildren Jaden and Kody, sisters Breege (McGee), Patricia, Claire, Bernie (McNally) and Samantha, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May Ann Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Longford (N39 EC81) on Wednesday evening, November 12 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Cremation will take place on Thursday, November 13 at 1pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. House strictly private at all times. Donations in lieu of flowers to Longford Westmeath Palliative Care.

 

Barry Fayne, Cullentra, Newtowncashel, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home on Friday, November 7, 2025 of Barry Fayne, Cullentra, Newtowncashel, Longford. 

Pre-deceased by his father John and by his sisters Sarah and Mona. Barry will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved mother Mary, sisters Lisa and Aisling, aunts, uncles, relatives, cousins, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace. 

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Tuesday, November 11 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St Mary's Church, Lanesboro on Wednesday, November 12 at 12 noon, interment afterwards in Rathcline cemetery. Family flowers only please donations if desired to Irish Cancer Society ,www.cancer.ie or care of Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member. Catriona Hanly, Parkowen, Strokestown, Roscommon / Dublin

The death occurred peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025 of Catriona Hanly, Parkowen, Strokestown, Roscommon / Dublin,

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her heartbroken family. Beloved daughter of Bertie and Imelda, cherished sister of Alan, Marcus, Enda and Tara, sisters in law Olga, Linda and Sinead, brother in law Neil. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and around the world.

Catriona will repose at the family home in Parkowen, Strokestown, on Wednesday, November 12 from 4pm until 8pm. Removal to Kiltrustan Church on Thursday, November 13 to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Strokestown Cemetery. May She Rest In Peace.

Please Note: Due to restricted parking around the family home there will be a shuttle bus service in operation on the evening of the reposing, Wednesday November 12, located at the old Bank of Ireland building (Eircode: F42 WV06) on Church Street, Strokestown. Those attending Catriona's reposing are asked to please use this service.

Seán Burke, Lisroyne Oaks, Strokestown, Roscommon / Glasnevin, Dublin

The death occurred on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 of Sean Burke, Lisroyne Oaks, Strokestown, Roscommon and formerly of Glasnevin & Chapelizod, Co Dublin.

Seán will be sadly missed by his brothers & sisters, Denis, Paul, Eilish & Margaret, nieces & nephews, Lisa, Brian, Christina, Alan, Stephen, Caitriona, Fiona, Claire, Denis & Peter, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, brother-in-law Andy, sisters-in-law Majella & Aileen, relatives, neighbours and friends. Seán is predeceased by his parents Teresa & Denis, by his nephew Gerard and by his grand-nephew Keith. Rest In Peace.

Remains reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown (F42 RK72) on Tuesday, November 11 from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Wednesday, November 12 to Strokestown Parish Church for Funeral Mass at 11am. Cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, at 2pm.

Christina Tiernan, Dublin 8, Dublin / Drumreilly, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, in the tender and loving care of the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. James' Hospital, Dublin on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 of Christina Tiernan, St. Patrick's St, Dublin 8, formerly Lower Drumreilly, Co Leitrim. 

Devoted daughter of the late Brigid and Joe, sister of the late Pat, Gerard and Anna and nephew Fran. She will be very sadly missed by her dearly beloved sisters Rose and Patricia, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Rest in peace.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10am, in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Whitefriar St., Dublin 2, to St Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

Peter Gilleran, 4 Barrack Court, Barrack Street, Ennis, Clare / Glasson, Co Westmeath

The death occurred in his 81st year peacefully after a long illness bravely borne in the wonderful care of the staff at Milford Care Centre on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 of Peter Gilleran, 4 Barrack Court, Barrack Street, Ennis, County Clare and formerly of Lissoy, Glasson, County Westmeath and Sarasota, Florida.

 Predeceased by his sisters Anne Wall (Ballymaley, Ennis), Bridget Hussey (Canada) infant sisters Elizabeth, Agnes and Margaret and his brothers Joe, Jim and Tom (Lissoy). Will be missed and remembered by his sister Teresa Aylott (London), his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends in Ireland, England, Canada and the USA.

Reposing at Daly’s Mortuary Chapel, Francis Street, Ennis on Friday, November, 14 from 6pm to 7pm. Arriving at the Cathedral, Ennis, on Saturday, November 15 for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in Drumcliffe Cemetery. May he rest in peace.
