Dates announced for classes, events and meetings with Longford Federation ICA

Lotto
Our lotto was held in Kenagh on Wednesday last for a Jackpot of €1,000, numbers drawn were 7, 13, 16, 22 and we had no jackpot winner. The three lucky dip winners were Bernadette McLoughlin, Margaret McDonald and Anne Newman.

Congratulations to all, the next draw will be held in Ballymahon on November 19 when the jackpot will be €1,050. Thanks to all who continue to support our lotto and to the guilds for hosting.

Knit and Stitch
This year's knit and stitch show will be held in the Eikon Exhibition Centre Lisburn and we have a bus running on Saturday, November 15. The bus is now full and will leave the Axis centre at 8am on Saturday morning. Thanks to Craft officer Virginia for organising this and we hope you all have a very enjoyable day. Please note there will be no crochet class on Saturday next as the ladies will be at the knit and stitch show.

Walk
Our next Federation walk will take place on Sunday, November 16 when the destination will be Derrycassin Woods. Anyone wishing to share a lift please meet at the old cash and carry in Longford at 1pm, the walk is open to all so feel free to join us, the walk will begin at 2pm.

Social Dancing
Longford Town ICA Guild will host a second evening of social dancing on Sunday, November 16 in the Temperance Hall from 7 to 9pm. Dancing will be to the fabulous Seamus Farrell and there will also be a cuppa and goodies served, admission is only €10 so don't miss out, put the date in your diary and come out and enjoy the hospitality of the ladies and dance the evening away, all welcome.

Federation Meeting
Our winter federation meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 25 in ICA HQ and will be hosted by the ladies from Newtowncashel Guild, numbers for suppers to Catherine Gallagher on 086 3435747 after your guild meetings please.Competitions for the meeting are Art, A letter to Santa. Craft, Best knit or crochet Scarf. Produce a Yule log. Best of luck to all entering.

Gempack Competition
The federation final of the Gempack competition will take place at the federation meeting on the November 25 in ICA HQ. The competition is for a Cherry Cake 20cm round tin and proof of Gempack ingredients is required. entries to be in place by 7.30pm on the night please and one winner will go forward to the final in An Grianán on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Craft Fair
Our annual craft fair takes place in the Temperance Hall on Sunday, December 7, to book a space please contact Virginia by text only on 086 2036542, spaces are filling up fast so don't miss out.
