Gardaí shared this photo of a Hitachi model which they say is similar to the one stolen
Longford Gardaí are seeking information regarding the theft of a Hitachi digger from an area just outside the town last night.
The machine - a Hitachi 48 U - was stolen from the upper Ferefad area yesterday evening, Wednesday, November 12.
Gardaí in Longford believe thieves struck sometime between 9:30 and 10:30pm.
In highlighting the theft, Gardaí shared a photo of a Hitachi model very similar to the one taken.
They have asked that anyone with information, or dashcam footage of interest, contact Longford Garda Station on 043 3350570 or the Garda confidential line 1800 666 111.
Investigations into the incident continue.
