Engagement joy for Longford influencer, Elisha Stokes

Elisha Stokes is a successful businesswoman, in-demand model, influencer, not to mention the title holder of 2024 makeup influencer of the year. As of recent days however, she can also add 'bride-to-be' to that list! 

There were big celebrations in the Stokes' household in Granard this week as Elisha announced her engagement to boyfriend, Martin Mahoney.    

Speaking to the Longford Leader, Elisha, owner of Elisha's Beauty Salon in Granard, recalled how she and Martin first met. "We’re a modern love story - we met on Instagram, bonding first over Formula 1 and my dog Cooper, and before we knew it we were texting every day."

Elisha added, "Since then we’ve had nonstop adventures: early dates while he hobbled around on crutches, trips to Galway (my home away from home now!), Vegas, Monaco, Tenerife, Nice, Iron Maiden concerts, and even a Manchester United game he somehow convinced me to go to." 

Two months after Martin and Elisha first began messaging on Instagram, they went on their first date in Athlone.

Last Saturday, Martin brought Elisha back to the location where they first met in person ... and proceeded to get down on one knee while there!  

"Martin brought everything full circle by proposing in the exact same place a few days ago!" Elisa smiles. "Our families are over the moon for us, and we’re excited to enjoy being newly engaged - wedding date to come!"
