Longford County Council has signed a contract with MCA Construction for a new housing development in Lamagh, Newtownforbes.

The project involves regenerating an existing site, including the demolition of a derelict house and two outbuildings.

Six modern homes will be built including two single-storey, semi-detached houses with two bedrooms and four two-storey, semi-detached houses with two bedrooms.

The development will include landscaping, car parking, pedestrian access, and connections to existing services.

This marks a significant step in meeting housing needs and supporting sustainable growth in the area.
