35th annual MS Longford Christmas Day Run starts from The Hill in Newtowncashel at 10am for walkers and at 11am for runners and it concludes in Lanesboro

Countdown is on to the 35th MS Longford Christmas Day Run

The countdown is on to the 2025 MS Longford Christmas Day Run, and organisers are delighted to be celebrating their 35th year.

Organisers were feeling a little pink this year, and they wish to thank once again Peter Hanley Motors for their generosity and sponsorship of event t-shirts.

To claim your t-shirt, please make a donation via the GoFundMe link on the 2025 MS Longford Christmas Day Run Facebook page or Instagram Account, or alternatively make a cash donation on Christmas morning. 

Joe O’Brien’s Corner Shop in Lanesboro has sponsorship cards available for anyone who may be interested. All participants can collect their t-shirts on Christmas Day.

The 35th annual MS Longford Christmas Day Run starts from The Hill in Newtowncashel at 10am for walkers and at 11am for runners and participants covering an 11km route taking them into neighbouring Lanesboro. After the finish line, everyone can partake in refreshments in St Mary’s Hall. All funds raised go directly to the Longford Branch of Multiple Sclerosis. 

Virtual Option: If you can’t make it on the day? You can still take part by completing your own walk or run, sharing your photos with the organising committee, and donating via the GoFundMe link.
