Tiernan Dolan has praised the great outcome of the recent Art of Friendship exhibition
Following the Art of Friendship exhibition which took place from November 29 in Longford library, organiser Tiernan Dolan said that on December 11, 70 gift parcels were heading to Kherson, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, Kyiv region and Nikolaev.

In response, he said the following:
“The recent exhibition is having an immediate effect for many children trapped by the invasion of Ukraine.
“All donated art on display was sold, and together with some generous donations, over €3,000 was raised.
“The local, small volunteer group, Little Steps for Ukraine, got to work at once, buying clothes, toys and sweets, packing and sending them to individual children all over war-ravaged Ukraine.
“Friday saw the final batch of seventy gifts being sent, which will mean a very special gift will be received by the children before Christmas.”
Tiernan added that the project would continue into 2026, as many children have lost parents, their homes, friends or even pets because of the Russian missiles and drones, even having no electricity or heat.

From December 1-11, 98 parcels were sent.
