Longford Vintage Club to have an inaugural Christmas Lights Charity Run

St Christopher’s Longford and the new Longford Defibrillator Group will be benefitting from the funds raised

Longford Vintage Club CLG is holding their inaugural Christmas Lights Charity Run on Sunday, December 21.

“These are two very good groups to be supporting,” said Miceal Nolan, the committee's secretary.


“If at all possible, there will be buckets inside the venue on the day. If anyone would like to support externally, they can contact us to make the donation.”


Registration starts at 3pm in the club's clubhouse, in Connolly Barracks. The run will be then begin at 4pm and then return to the Barracks.

“We’re open to all classic and vintage vehicles,” added Miceal, when asked about what vehicles qualify to participate in this event.


There will then be a presentation ceremony after the vehicles have returned, with some light refreshments included to complete the event.

“Everyone is welcome to come around to look at the vehicles.”


The group would like to express thanks to Longford County Council, Longford Tourism and Longford Gardai for their help and support for this event.
