The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Mullingar Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 of Mary Hannifin (nee O'Leary), No 1 St Matthew’s Park, Ballymahon, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her husband Johnny, sons Willie, Mike and Robert, daughter Aggie and her dear grandchildren. Mary will be sadly missed by her family, sons Joe, Johnny, Paul, Brendan and Aaron, daughters Maire and Jackie, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Jimmy, sisters Bridie, Joan, Ann, Teresa and Winnie, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her dear friends. Loving you is easy, We do it every day, Missing you is a heartache, That never goes away. Rest in Peace Mary.

Reposing in her home on Thursday, January 8 from 4pm until 7pm. Removal to St Matthews's Church, Ballymahon on Friday, January 9 for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass, Mary will be laid to rest in the family plot in Shrule Cemetery. The death occurred peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 of Annie Thompson (née Dunne), Auaghaboy, Killoe, Longford and formerly Ballaghderry, Mountbolus, Co Offaly. 

Predeceased by her husband Johnny, her parents John and Kathleen Dunne, sisters Lil Leonard (Blueball) and Sr. Magdalene Mary Dunne (USA), her brother-in-law Joe Leonard (Blueball). Sadly missed by her brother Tom, sister Kathleen Scully (Blueball), brother-in-law Paddy Scully, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends. May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Lawless' Funeral Home, Mucklagh Village on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 4pm until 6pm. The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff in Thomond Lodge nursing home Ballymahon, Co Longford on Sunday, January 4, 2026 of Ann Madden (née Sellers), Harman Street, Dublin 8, Dublin / Coolcarty, Laurencetown, Galway / Ballymahon, Longford / Glasson, Westmeath. 

Predeceased by her husband John. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family. Her sons and daughters Kevin, Declan, Niall, Niamh (Creighton) and Orlagh (Tadesse) her sister Nolene (Maloney) Malahide, Dublin, her brother Albert, Coole, Co Westmeath, her sister-in-law Deirdre, daughters- in-law, sons-in-law and her beloved grandchildren Eloise, Eoin, Aaron, Chelsea, Claudia, Cathal, Philomena, Fiona, Saoirse, Caoimhe, Oisin and Cian and all her relatives, friends and neighbours. May her gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 of Rose (Rosemary) Coyle (née Hughes), Cranley, Mostrim, Longford. 

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, her brothers Kevin, Mel and John, her sister Rita and her parents John and Margaret. Rose will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, John, Seamus, Anna, Eithne, Fintan, Monica and Martin. Her sons in law Philip Carron, Paul Donohoe and John Dunne, daughter in law Emer (O’Connor) and her adored granddaughters Olivia, Niamh, Eleanor, Ruth, Orla, Ciara and Ailish. The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St Joseph’s Care Centre on Friday, January 2, 2026 of MaryJo McDonnell, Castlebrock, Moatefarrell, Co Longford. 

Pre-deceased by her extended family. Maryjo will be sadly missed and remembered with love by Richard, Martin, Gregg, Brendan, Ann, Gerard and Paul, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

The death occurred peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 of Very Rev Fr Phil Brady, Creighan, Cavan Town and late of Legwee Bridge, Bruskey, Cavan. Late Priest of the Diocese of Kilmore.

Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Roseanne Brady, infant sister Teresa, sisters Margaret Mollahan and Rosie Galligan, brother Ned, aunt Molly, brother in law Michael Tully and nephew James Tully.

The death occurred peacefully, with her family by her side, in the wonderful care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 of Marion Gillooly (née Toolan), 2 Chapel Street, Elphin, Co Roscommon. June 19, 1940 – January 6, 2026.

Much loved mother of Michael (Roscommon Town), Lorraine Kenny (Moore, Co. Roscommon), Fiona Henry (Ballinvalley, Coolaney, Co. Sligo) and Peter (Turloughmore). Marion will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, sons-in-law Liam and Michéal, daughters-in-law Marie and Anita, cherished grandchildren Emma, Adrian, Declan, Peter, Saoirse, Michael, Adam, Callum, Aoife, Evan, Kayla, Kai and Amber, brother-in-law Pete Shiel (Carniska, Strokestown), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.

The death occurred peacefully, at the Mater Hospital and previously in the care of Anam Cara, Glasnevin in her 93rd year on Saturday, January 3, 2026 of June (Margaret) Elliott (née McNamara), Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon and Nenagh, Co Tipperary. 

Beloved wife of the late Frank. Sadly missed by her stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Frances, nieces, nephews, extended family, a wide circle of friends and former colleagues in Telecom Eireann. Predeceased by her brothers Morgan and George and her sister Sr. Clare. May she rest in peace.
