Sadia Athar has been appointed as Peace Commissioner

Longford woman Sadia Athar has been appointed as a Peace Commissioner by Niall Collins, Minister of State.


Ms Athar said the appointment fills her with great gratitude and she sincerely appreciates the trust that has been placed in her.

She remarked, “Being entrusted with this responsibility means a great deal, and I will approach the role with integrity, respect, and a genuine commitment to public service.”


Ms Athar stated that her appointment 'strengthens her commitment to contributing positively' to Longford.
