Predeceased by his parents Dan and Mary (née Davis); brother John (Rooskey); sister Mary Kenny (USA); niece Eileen Helmer (USA); nephew John Mc Sweeney (USA); grandnephew Liam Hall (Rooskey) & god-daughter Imelda Corcoran (nee Mc Loughlin -Moyne & Kildare). And all other deceased members of Mc Loughlin, Davis & Flynn families. Joe Pat will be forever loved and sadly missed by his devoted wife and best friend Carmel (née Flynn) Ballymahon; his heartbroken son Donal (Donie); daughters Orla (Finnegan), and Claire (McAulay); adored grandchildren Ada, Ben, Lyra, Jack, Grace, Alex, Harry, and Rory; beloved sisters Margaret Davis (Newtownmountkennedy), Martha Mc Loughlin (USA) and Anne Mc Sweeney (USA); sons-in-law John and Phil; Donal’s partner Debra; nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours, carers, and his large circle of friends. Reposing at Kelly’s Funeral Home, Athlone Road, Longford (Eircode N39 K381) on Saturday, February 28 from 4pm, concluding with prayers at 7pm (the family will take a 15-minute break at 5.30pm). Kathleen (Kitty) Burd, Main Street, Ballymahon, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in her 101st year in the loving care of the staff of Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon on Thursday, February 26, 2026 of Kathleen (Kitty) Burd Main Street, Ballymahon, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by her twin sister Frances (Francie) and brother Bertie. Deeply regretted by her family, friends and neighbours. May her gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Arriving at St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon on Saturday, February 28 for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Ballymore Cemetery.

Frances Kilcoyne (née Hanley), Barnacor, Lanesboro, Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness in the care of the compassionate staff in the Mater Hospital Dublin on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 of Frances Kilcoyne (née Hanley), Barnacor, Lanesboro, Co Longford and formerly of Corrigeen.

Predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary, brothers Ned, Mike, Paddy, Gerry, sisters Mary, Margaret and great grandson Fionn. Profoundly missed by her heartbroken husband Patrick, devoted mother to her cherished children David, Theresa (Collins), Sharon (Dowd), Johnny, Caroline (Oates) and Lynda, daughters-in-law Ursula and Karilie, sons-in-law Noel, David and Liam, her treasured grandchildren Catríona (Gilroy), David, Aaron, Lee, Luke, Stephen, Rachel, Myah, Krish, Harry, Dylan, Seán, Abbie, Conor, Owen, Chloe, Aliannah and her great granddaughter Ríadh. The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 of Martin Whitton, Farneyhoogan, Athlone Rd, Longford and formerly of Clonevit, Moydow. Predeceased by his parents Andy and Nora, brothers Thomas, Paul and Noel (infant).

Martin will be sadly missed and always remembered by his loving family, his partner Ann, sons Patrick and Andrew, their mother Bridgie, daughter-in-law Emma, Alice (Andrew's partner), his adored grandchildren Kyle, Aidan, Sarah and Finn, brother Jimmy, sister Margaret (Newtowncashel), brother-in-law Paddy Conlon, sister-in-law Connie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and dear friends.

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 of Finbar (Barry) Dunne, Cranleymore, Edgeworthstown, Longford / Cork. 

Beloved husband of Christina and much-loved father of Patrick. He will be dearly missed by his daughter-in-law Sue and his adored grandchildren Lukas, Eli and Evie, who were the light of his life. The death occurred suddenly at the Regional Hospital Mullingar comforted by his family on Monday, February 23, 2026 of Patrick (Patsy) Clarke, Garrowhill, Longford, former staff member of St Loman's Hospital, Mullingar.

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters Michelle (Conall), Sharon and Denise (Luke), in the wonderful care of the staff of the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan on Thursday, February 26, 2026 of Kathleen Denning (née Duignan), Drumcarey, Corlismore, Co Cavan/ Arva, Co Cavan.

The death occurred at The Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 of Noelle Crowe (nee Dorran), ‘Sherwood’, Dromod, Co Leitrim, retired NT. 

Predeceased by her husband Jim, brothers Ronnie and Mercdith, sisters Renee and Hope. Sadly missed by her children Derek, Gary and Louise Shanley, sister Joy Stephens (Belfast), son in law John, daughter in law Holly, grandchildren Sorrelle, Beryl, James, Hazel, Sophie and Noah, sisters in law Marcella and Dorothy, brother in law John, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends. “At Rest”.

The death occurred peacefully, in the tender care of the nurses and staff of Roscommon Hospice in her 97th year on Thursday, February 26, 2026 of Elizabeth (Elsie) Owens 19 French Court, Strokestown, Co Roscommon.

Deeply regretted by her loving sisters Rosalie, Helene (Scott) & Louise (Curley). Elsie will be sadly missed by her sisters, nephews Gerard & Michael Curley and David Scott, her nieces Edel Neary & Antoinette Whitty, grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins. Elsie will also be sadly missed by her wonderful neighbours and large circle of life long friends. The death occurred in the loving care of the amazing management and staff at Arus Carolan Mohill on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 of Imelda Donnelly (nee Lloyd), Shannagh Grove, Mohill and previously Boyle, Co Roscommon. Predeceased by her husband Tommy.

Deeply regretted by her loving son Lloyd, daughter Valerie (John) and Adrienne. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Alan (Kate) David , Erica (Tom) Ruth, Hannah (Andrew) Gareth (Kaitlyn) Keara (Eoin) Danny (Betsy) & Gavin. The death occurred peacefully on the eve of his 93rd birthday in the exceptional and loving care of the nurses and staff of Castlemanor Private Nursing Home, Cavan and surrounded by his devoted family on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 of Laurence (Larry) Donoghue, Carricknabrick, Loughduff, Co Cavan and late of Ballymacad, Oldcastle, Co Meath. 

Predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy (née O'Reilly) his parents Patrick and Mary, his brother Michael and sister Judy. The death occurred peacefully in the exceptional care of all the staff of Surgical North Ward, Sligo University Hospital and the North West Hospice on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 of Patrick (Padraig) Conlon, Aughaguinea, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. 

Predeceased by his brother Michael John. Beloved husband of Mary, (Née Grogan), father to Gerard, Martin and Paul, father-in-law to Nuala, Deirdre and Eilish, adored grandfather of Aaron and Killian. The death occurred peacefully in the Mater Hospital surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 22, 2026 of Seamus Shiels, Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly Loch Gowna, Cavan.

Predeceased by her husband Robert, parents Joseph and Gertie McHugh, sister Kathleen and stepson Matthew.
