The death occurred suddenly but peacefully, at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Monday, March 2, 2026 of Nancy Dowler (nee O'Meara), Garrycam, Ardagh, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by her husband Paddy and her parents Margaret and Paddy. Sadly missed by her heartbroken daughter and best friend Debra, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of close friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, on Wednesday evening, March 4 from 6pm with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Thursday, March 5 from her home to St Anne's Church, Ballycloughan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Carrickedmond Cemetery. House private. Close friends and neighbours are welcome.

John Fitzpatrick, Clonrollagh, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 1, 2026 of John Fitzpatrick, Clonrollagh, Longford (retired National Teacher).

Pre-deceased by his parents John and Annie, sister Marie and by his brothers Eugene and Alfie. John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Bridie, daughters Jacqueline Muldowney (Bornacoola), Joanne Quinn (Drumlish), Yvonne Bennett (Longford), Sinead Stenhouse (Aberdeen) and Marie McDonnell (Strokestown), sons Enda (Dublin) and John (Longford), sister Ann Fadden (Castlebar), brother Pat (Buffalo, New York), daughters-in-law Roisin and Caroline, sons-in-law John, Paddy, Damien, Craig and Michael, his twenty-six adored grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Tuesday, March 3 from 5.30pm concluding with prayers at 8.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, March 4 in St Mel’s Cathedral at 11am, interment afterwards in Newtownforbes cemetery. The death occurred in the loving care of the staff of Mowlan Nursing Home, Moate on Monday, March 2, 2026 of Teresa McCormack, Rosemount PO, Rosemount, Moate, Co Westmeath.

Predeceased by her husband Peter. Sadly missed by her son Patrick, daughter in law Fiona, grandchildren Andrew and Sarah, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces,especially Mary, relatives and friends. May Teresa Rest in Peace.

The death occurred peacefully in the arms of his loving family in his 83rd year on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 of Joe Lennon, Glasson, Athlone, Co Westmeath & formerly of Curramore, Kiltoom, Athlone, Co Roscommon.

Cherished by his wife Mary, his children Ruth, Susan, Joan, Maeve, Peter and Shannon and their partners, his 'fine crop' of grandchildren, Tom, Róisín, Aoibhín, Eimear, Sarah, Michael, Abby, Niamh, Jess, Billy, Gemma, Oisín and Rían, his brother John (Bro. Ronan) and his sister Anne Henehan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces. nephews, relatives, great neighbours and his many good friends.

Joe will be joyfully greeted in Heaven by his parents Mary Anne and Thomas, his sisters Bridget, Mary and Theresa (Infancy), his brothers Jay, Frank, Anthony, Pat and Christopher (Infancy), his brother-in-law Matty Moran, his sister-in-law Anne Cullen and his good friend Paul Kearney. Predeceased by his parents Tommy and Mary and his beloved grand-daughter Caoimhe. The death occurred suddenly in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe on Monday, March 2, 2026 of Ray Keogh, Derreen, Strokestown, Co Roscommon and formerly of Turin, Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

Beloved husband of Tiney, adored father of Tara, Shannon, Bernard & Rian and much loved Pops of his twelve grandchildren. Ray will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife and family, sons-in-law Stephen (Feeney) & Michael (McGlynn), daughters-in-law Nikki (Hughes) & Michelle (Shaw), brothers Gerry, Hugo & Michael, sisters Martina, Collette & Helen, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, extended family, neighbours and many friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Nora Macken. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Elizabeth, daughter Sandra, sons Enda, Barry, Aidan and Shane, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Pat (Wales), Sean (Dublin) and Michael (Milltown), sisters Nancy (Castlepollard) and Maureen (Cavan), sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Tom McConnell, Drumshinny, Arva, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 2, 2026 of Tom McConnell Drumshinny, Arva, Co Cavan and formerly of Motherwell, Scotland and Dunnington, England.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Jean, and sisters Elizabeth and Jean. Very sadly missed by his son David and daughter-in-law Dympna, son Nelson and partner Jo, youngest son Bruce, grandchildren Roisin, Thomas, Sorcha, Orla and Aoife, great-granddaughter Aila, and extended family and friends. Rest in Peace.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Breda for the wonderful care she provided to Tom through the Alzheimers Society Ireland in recent years, and to the palliative care team for their valuable support during his final days.
