The Late Mary Frances O’Connor (née Fallon), Artane, Dublin and formerly of Cullentra, Newtowncashel, Co Longford

It was with great sadness we learned of the death at Beaumont Hospital of Mary Frances O’Connor (née Fallon), Artane, Dublin and formerly of Cullentra, Newtowncashel, Co Longford on Friday, February 13.

Mary was born and raised in Cullentra and did her secondary schooling at the Convent of Mercy in Lanesboro.

From the very outset Mary was always a warm and friendly with great lady like traits. Her legacy locally was of a generous and thoughtful lady and I am sure this trait continued throughout her time in Dublin.

By her nature she was always destined to be a nurse as she had all the distinguishing characteristics and it was a profession she excelled at so naturally.

Mary was a devoted nurse, known for her kindness, compassion and the gentle care she showed to all who knew her.

Mary was predeceased just over two years ago by her daughter Deirdre.

Her remains reposed in Jennings Funeral Home, Coolock, on Monday, February 16, before being removed to The Church of the Nativity, Beaumont and following her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 17, Mary was laid to rest in Glasnevin Cemetery.

Beloved wife of John O’Connor and adored mam of Owen, Aisling, Sinéad and Katie, and now lovingly reunited with her beloved daughter Deirdre in heaven. Much loved granny of Oscar, Oliver, Owen, Hannah, Chloe, Jonathan and Tommy.

Mary will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband and children; her brother John Fallon and wife Geraldine Fallon; her in-laws Nina Hapnes and Darren Donnelly; her grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
