Mary (Molly) Donlon (née Draper), O'Rian Lodge, Darogue, Ballymahon, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at her son's residence, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 of Mary (Molly) Donlon (nee Draper) O'Rian Lodge, Darogue, Ballymahon, Co Longford N39 TW88  and formerly Main Street, Ballymahon, Co Longford.   

Predeceased by her husband Brian, daughters Bernie and Ann, grandson Ryan and brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by her loving family son Michael, daughter Mary, sisters Eleanor and Ann, brothers in law Pat, John and Jim, daughter in law Jennifer and son in law John. Her adored grandchildren Siobhàn, Michelle, Ciara, Tara and Lisa, Her beloved great grandchildren Brian, Saoirse and Brona. Her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Thinking of you Molly is easy. We do it every day but missing you will be a heartache that will never go away. Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Michael and Jennifer’s residence Darogue all day on Thursday, March 26 (N39 TW88). Funeral Mass on Friday, March 27 at 12 noon in St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon followed by burial in Shrule cemetery.

Martin Mau, Cartrun Breac, Longford and formerly Kiel, Germany and Tarmonbarry, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital on Monday, March 23, 2026 of Martin Mau, Cartrun Breac, Longford and formerly Kiel, Germany and Tarmonbarry, Co Longford.

Martin will be forever remembered by all who loved him dearly, his partner Stela and her children Teodora and Radu, his siblings Ute, Jutta and Holger, his brothers-in-law Hans-Jurgen and Werner, his nieces and nephews, relatives, his many friends in Germany and here in Ireland, especially Fergus, Anne Marie and Charlie. Für immer in unseren Herzen. Forever in our hearts.

Resting in Connells Funeral Home, Church St, Longford. Funeral Service on Friday, March 27 at 11am in St John's Church of Ireland, Battery Rd, Longford. Following Service Martin will be laid to rest in the adjoining Churchyard.

William Joseph (Liam) Higgins, Eslin, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred  peacefully in the care of the QE Hospital, Birmingham, England on Saturday, February 28, 2026 of William Joseph (Liam) Higgins, Birmingham, England / Eslin, Mohill, Co. Leitrim.

Liam will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ann, daughters Sharon and AnnMarie, son-in-law Rob, grandchildren John, Eddie, Luke, Laura and Joe, his sisters Teresa and Josephine (New York), nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Eddie and Rose Higgins of Main Street, Ballinamore and his brothers Eamon and Jim. Rest in Peace.

Liam’s Funeral Mass will be held in St Mary’s Church, Vivian Road, Harborne B17 0DN on Wednesday, April 1 at 11.30am followed by cremation at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Weoley Park Road, Weoley Castle. B29 5AA at 1pm. Requiem Mass will be streamed live HERE.

Paul Kelleher, Dún Carraig Céibh, Leitrim Village, Leitrim / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim / Elphin, Roscommon

The death occurred suddenly on Monday, March 23, 2026 of Paul Kelleher Dún Carraig Céibh, Leitrim Village, Co. Leitrim and formerly Shankill, Elphin, Co. Roscommon

Paul will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken family. Loving wife Shauna, adored children Cara and Tadhg, cherished son of Noeline and Pat Kelleher, brothers David and Robert (Ellen), parents-in-law Linda and Sean Duignan, brother-in-law Peter (Sinéad), sister-in-law Lorna (James), nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, loyal companion Cooper, neighbours and a large circle of friends. May He Rest In Peace.

Paul will repose at The Heritage Centre, Chapel of Rest, Church Lane, Carrick-on-Shannon (N41 KP62) on Friday, March 27 from 4pm until 7:30pm. Please note the family will be taking a 15-minute break from 5:30-5:45pm. Mass of Christian burial in St Mary’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday, March 28 at 11:30am, followed by private cremation. Funeral Mass will be streamed live Paul's Funeral Mass.

House strictly private at all times please. No flowers by request please. The Kelleher and Duignan family appreciate your sympathy, support and understanding at this difficult time.

Tom Carley, Rooaun, Kilglass, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 of Tom Carley Rooaun, Kilglass, Roscommon.

Predeceased by his parents, Paddy and Lilly, and infant son David. Tom will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his loving wife, Agnes (née Dalton), sons Damien, Adrian, Eamonn and Ollie, daughter Andrea Keogh, son-in-law Bill, daughters-in-law, Fiona, Sharon, Claudette and Marie, grandchildren Dylan, Chloe, Danny, Rachel, Jack, Emma, Sean, Tommy and Ciara, sisters, Betty (Cox) and Mary (Breen), brother-in-law Peader, sister-in-law Eithne, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many good friends. May He Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Leavy's Funeral Home Scramogue F42 FD78 on Thursday March 26 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral mass at 2pm on Friday, March 27 in the Sacred Heart Church, Kilglass, with burial afterwards in Kilglass cemetery. House Private.

Mary (Maureen) Giblin (née Basquil), Kilgarve, Rooskey, Roscommon / Mayo

The death occurred peacefully in the care of the staff of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 of Mary (Maureen) Giblin (neé Basquil), Kilgarve, Rooskey, Co Roscommon and formerly of Co Mayo. 

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Basquil, brothers and sisters. Survived by her loving husband Edward, son Eamonn, daughters Pamela (Fox, London) Bernadette (McCollum, New Jersey) and Ann (Quinn, New Jersey), her 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, her sister Peggy Tunney, sons-in-law Barry, Eddie and Tom, daughter-in-law Hilda, nieces and nephews, extended family, many good friends and kind neighbours. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her home at Kilgarve, Rooskey, on Thursday, March 26 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. House private outside of reposing hours please. Removal from her home on Friday, March 27 to arrive at Sacred Heart Church, Kilglass for funeral mass at 11am, followed by burial in Scramogue Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Mayo Roscommon Hospice, C/O Tully’s funeral directors, Slatta, Kilglass, Co. Roscommon. 

Maureen Flynn (née Moran), Drumlowan, Gorvagh, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at Lough Erril Private Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family in the care of the nurses and staff of Lough Erril Private Nursing Home on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 of Maureen Flynn (née Moran), late of Drumlowan, Gorvagh, Co. Leitrim, formerly Skymartin, Eslin.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, parents John and Mary, brothers, John, Jim, Packie and Tommie. Beloved mother of Mary (Sean), Anne (Jim), Don (Patricia) and Gerrard (Mary). Sadly missed by her sister Peggy, her nine grandchildren, Sinead, Cormac, Niall, Darragh, Orla, Anthony, Danielle, Aileen and Kevin, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Maureen rest in peace.

Maureen will repose at Lough Erril Private Nursing Home, Mohill, (N41 XE39) on Wednesday March 25 from 4pm to 7.30pm with a 15-minute break at 6pm. House Strictly Private Please. Removal to St Patrick's Church, Mohill on Thursday, March 26 to arrive for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Molloy (née Cregg), Lisroyne, Strokestown, Co Roscommon

The death occurred unexpectedly at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 of Kathleen Molloy (nee Cregg) Lisroyne, Strokestown, Co Roscommon. 

Beloved wife of Con, much loved mother of Mary & Cathal, adored grandmother of Andrew & Eibhlin and dearly loved daughter of Anne. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her husband, daughter, son, grandchildren, mother, daughter-in-law Maeve, brother Thomas, extended family, relatives and friends. Kathleen is predeceased by her father Tom. Rest In Peace.

Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown (F42 RK72) on Wednesday, March 25 from 6pm until 8pm. Kathleen will also be reposing in McGlynn's Funeral Home, Dungloe, Co. Donegal (F94 ND68), on Thursday, March 26 from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, March 27 in St. Patrick's Church, Meenacross, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Maghery Cemetery. House Private Please.

Paul Hughes, Longford town, Co Longford

The death occurred  peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026 of Paul Hughes, Toronto, Canada and formerly of Dublin Street and Brickeens, Longford. 

Pre-deceased by his father Mike, mother Mollie and by his brothers-in-law John Mike McCarthy, Frank Seyers and Séamus Tiernan.

Paul will be missed and forever remembered by his wife Peg, sons David, sister Mary Tiernan (Longford), daughter-in-law Becca, nephews Damian, nieces Gillian, Carmel and Laura, grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins and many friends both in Longford and Toronto. May the road rise up to meet you May the wind always be at your back

May the sun shine warm upon your face And rains fall softly upon your fields And until we meet again May the Good Lord hold you in the Hollow of his hand. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

A Mass in memory of Paul will take place in St. Mel’s Cathedral at a later date.

Noel (Michael) McKiernan, Owen Roe Terrace, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 of Noel (Michael) McKiernan, Rugeley Staffordshire UK and formerly of Owen Roe Terrace, Cavan.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret, infant daughter Marie, parents James and Maisie and brothers Jim (Australia) and Mattie (UK). 

Noel is survived by his sons Martin (Carolyn) and son William, Colin (Michelle) and sons Gary and Terry, all UK.

Sisters Rosaleen Callaghan (Newport, Co. Mayo), Maura Walsh (Granard, Co. Longford), Dympna Molloy, (Swellan Cavan), Una Graham (Glenlara Cavan) and Seán (Drumcrave, Cavan). Sisters-in-law Jean McKiernan (Australia) Jackie Mc Kiernan (Australia) and Mary Mc Kiernan (UK), his adored nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Noel's Requiem Mass will be on Thursday,  April 9 in St. Joseph's Church, Rugeley, Staffordshire WS15 2EH followed by cremation at Stafford Crematorium ST16 3AQ. "Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam".
