Thomas Keenan, Rath Lower, Tang, Ballymahon, Co Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully in Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe on Saturday, March 28, 2026 of Thomas Keenan Rath Lower, Tang, Ballymahon, Co Westmeath.

Predeceased by his son Glenn and his parents Mary and Tom. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Rose, his son Roy and daughter Miranda. His brothers Johnny and Padraig, his sisters-in-law Kathleen, Carmel, Helena, Sheila and Louise, brother-in-law James, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. May he Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Drumraney Pastoral Centre (N37 DW26) on Monday evening, March 30 from 4.30pm until 6.30pm followed by removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception Drumraney for prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 31 at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private please.

Michael Sheridan, Drumhaldry, Moyne, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by all who loved him dearly and in the wonderful care of the staff of the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan on Thursday,  March 26, 2026 of Michael Sheridan Drumhaldry, Moyne, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by his wife and best friend Mary, his parents Philip and Ann and his brother Kevin. Michael will be sadly missed and forever remembered with love by his son Alan, daughter-in-law Ann Maire, grandchildren Halle and Faye, brothers Edward and Philip, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Hilda and Nuala, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and his many good friends. Those we hold most dear never truly leave us, they live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared, and the love they brought into our lives. Rest in Peace Michael.

In keeping with Michael's wishes, a private cremation will take place. House private please.

John Louis Reynolds, Cavan, Eslinbridge, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully after a short illness surrounded by his loving family in Sligo University hospital on Friday, March 27, 2026 of John Louis Reynolds, Cavan, Eslinbridge, Mohill, Co Leitrim.Pre-deceased by his wife Rosemarie and their son Patrick, his sister Mary and parents Louis and Elizabeth Reynolds. John will be sadly missed by his loving sons David and Paul, daughter Emma, extended family, neighbours and friends. May John Louis Rest in Peace.

Removal to St Patrick's Church, Mohill on Monday, March 30 to arrive at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 31 at 12 noon, followed by burial to adjoining cemetery. John Louis's funeral Mass may be viewed HERE.

William Joseph (Liam) Higgins, Eslin, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred  peacefully in the care of the QE Hospital, Birmingham, England on Saturday, February 28, 2026 of William Joseph (Liam) Higgins, Birmingham, England / Eslin, Mohill, Co. Leitrim.

Liam will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ann, daughters Sharon and AnnMarie, son-in-law Rob, grandchildren John, Eddie, Luke, Laura and Joe, his sisters Teresa and Josephine (New York), nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Eddie and Rose Higgins of Main Street, Ballinamore and his brothers Eamon and Jim. Rest in Peace.

Liam’s Funeral Mass will be held in St Mary’s Church, Vivian Road, Harborne B17 0DN on Wednesday, April 1 at 11.30am followed by cremation at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Weoley Park Road, Weoley Castle. B29 5AA at 1pm. Requiem Mass will be streamed live HERE.

Patrick Joseph (Joe) Lohan, Trilamartin, Curraghroe, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 26, 2026 of Patrick Joseph (Joe) Lohan Trilamartin, Curraghroe, Roscommon. Beloved husband of Mary (née Mullooly), dear father of Breda, Oliver & Trish and adored grandfather of Nathan, Seán, Sarah, Emma, Rachel, Shelly & Mikey.

Joe will be sadly missed by his wife & family, daughter-in-law Siobhán, son-in-law John, his sisters Nora, Kitty, Liz, Mary, Breege, his brother Micky, sister-in-law Jean, his brothers-in-law Mick, Mickey, Bruce & Micky, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours & many friends.

Joe is predeceased by his son Seamus & infant son Padraig, by his parents Michael & Mary and by his brother-in-law Mike. May Joe Rest In Peace.

Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown on Monday, March 30 from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, followed by removal to St. Cecilia's Church, Curraghroe, to arrive for 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 31 at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Cloontuskert Cemetery.

Ronan Conlon, Aughafin, Mount Allen, Drumshanbo, Co Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully, in the tender care of the nurses and staff at Abbey Haven Nursing Home, Boyle on Thursday, March 26, 2026 of Ronan (Ronnie) Conlon, Aughafin, Mount Allen, Drumshanbo, Co Roscommon.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Christina, brothers Gerry, Willie and Rory. Ronan will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Marian (Reynolds) Philomena (Nally) brother-in-law Peter, sister-in-law Rosaleen, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. “ May His Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace”.

Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, F52 WT26 on Sunday evening, March 29, 2026 from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Monday morning, March 30 to the Church of the Nativity of the B.V.M. Keadue, to arrive for celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 1am, followed by interment afterwards in Kilmactranny Cemetery. The family wishes to thank you for your sympathy, support and understanding at this time.

Paul Hughes, Longford town, Co Longford

The death occurred  peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026 of Paul Hughes, Toronto, Canada and formerly of Dublin Street and Brickeens, Longford. 

Pre-deceased by his father Mike, mother Mollie and by his brothers-in-law John Mike McCarthy, Frank Seyers and Séamus Tiernan.

Paul will be missed and forever remembered by his wife Peg, sons David, sister Mary Tiernan (Longford), daughter-in-law Becca, nephews Damian, nieces Gillian, Carmel and Laura, grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins and many friends both in Longford and Toronto. May the road rise up to meet you May the wind always be at your back

Noel (Michael) McKiernan, Owen Roe Terrace, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 of Noel (Michael) McKiernan, Rugeley Staffordshire UK and formerly of Owen Roe Terrace, Cavan.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret, infant daughter Marie, parents James and Maisie and brothers Jim (Australia) and Mattie (UK). 

Noel is survived by his sons Martin (Carolyn) and son William, Colin (Michelle) and sons Gary and Terry, all UK.

Sisters Rosaleen Callaghan (Newport, Co. Mayo), Maura Walsh (Granard, Co. Longford), Dympna Molloy, (Swellan Cavan), Una Graham (Glenlara Cavan) and Seán (Drumcrave, Cavan). Sisters-in-law Jean McKiernan (Australia) Jackie Mc Kiernan (Australia) and Mary Mc Kiernan (UK), his adored nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Noel's Requiem Mass will be on Thursday,  April 9 in St. Joseph's Church, Rugeley, Staffordshire WS15 2EH followed by cremation at Stafford Crematorium ST16 3AQ. "Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam".
