Met Éireann have warned of stormy conditions this Easter weekend.

With high winds and possibly stormy weather predicted in places this Saturday, there's also potential for severe or damaging west to southwest gusts.

The weather advisory alert will come into affect at midnight on Friday April 3 and remain in place until midnight Tuesday April 7.

While no officials warnings have yet been issued, Met Éireann says it's likely they will be.

There will also be a slight risk of flooding in Longford; however, Met Éireann says the areas facing the highest risk are low-lying locations along the Atlantic coast.
