Longford road reopens after collision leaves three people, including a child, hospitalised

Three people, including a child, have been transported to the Midlands Regional Hospital following a crash in Drumlish this afternoon.

The 2 car collision occurred on the the R198 Drumlish shortly after 3pm today, Wednesday April 15.

Both drivers - a male aged in his 70s and a woman aged in her 20s - along with a passenger - a male child - were taken to hospital for non-life threating injuries.

The road, which was closed for emergency services following the accident, has since been reopened.

Longford Gardaí are currently appealing to anyone with information or dash cam footage to contact them on 043 3350570
