Longford Gardaí are set to hold a free property-marking service in Carrickedmond GAA, (N39 K72) tomorrow, Saturday April 18.
People are asked to bring along any item of their property, big or small, be it farming equipment or otherwise, and Gardaí will mark it with the owner's Eircode.
A marked item adds another theft barrier as it makes it difficult for stolen items to be resold. Property marking is also an effective method to help Gardaí identify and return stolen items.

The most recent property marking service took place in Killashee last month and was a huge success.
This service is completely free, and everyone is welcome to attend with the item they would like to have marked.
The event takes place at Carrickedmond GAA, (N39 K72) tomorrow Saturday March April 18 between 12pm and 4pm.
