Malachy Scott, Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck, Longford / Ballynacargy, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff of Mullingar General Hospitalon Friday, April  17, 2026 of Malachy Scott, Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck, Co Longford and formerly of Ballynacargy, Westmeath. 

Predeceased by his beloved recently deceased wife Philomena, son Colin, parents James and Margaret, brother Jimmy, and sister Mary Maher. Malachy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his nephews and nieces Michael, Audrey, Damien, Fiona, James and Davina; his extended family in Ballinamuck — Michael McNally, Belinda, Fiona, Garry, Michelle, Marie, Jenni and Cillian; relatives, many good friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home in Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck (Eircode N39 E9V4) on Sunday, April 19 from 5pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Please follow the directions of the stewards. Thank you.

Funeral Mass on Monday, April 20 in St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck, arriving for 12 noon, followed by burial in Ballinamuck New Cemetery. House private on Monday morning, please.

Kathleen Redahan (née Clyne), Lisardowlan, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April  17, 2026 of Kathleen Redahan (née Clyne), Lisardowlan, Longford and formerly of Lanesboro and Granard, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, sisters Teresa (Grier) and Rose (Broy) and also by her brothers Pat and Barry. Kathleen will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughter Mary Rose, sons Michael, Patrick and Peter, daughter-in-law Niamh, cherished grandson Oisín, sisters-in-law Bernadette and Kathleen, brother-in-law Henry, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Sunday, April 19 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St Mel’s Cathedral at 11am on Monday, April 20, with interment afterwards in Ardagh cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live please go to www.longfordparish.com Family flowers only. House private please. 

Paddy Mullally, Ballynacargy, Westmeath / Longford

The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 17, 2026 of Paddy Mullally, Ballymaglavy, Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath/ Longford.

Predeceased by his parents Dan, Kathleen and his brother John. Paddy will be sadly missed and always remembered by his loving family. His sisters May, Catherine, brother Donal, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Mullingar Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, April 18 from 4.30pm with prayers at 6pm, followed by removal to St Patrick's Church, Moyvore, Mullingar, Co Westmeath arriving for 7pm mass (N91 PW62). Funeral Mass on Monday, April 20 at 11am. Burial immediately afterwards in Forgney Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate staff in Mullingar Regional Hospital for the care Paddy received.

Alfie Halliday, Cormore, Arva, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully in Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 18, 2026 of Alfie Halliday, Cormore, Arva, Co Cavan.

Alfie will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Iris, sons John and William, daughters Sylvet and Barbara, daughter in law Debbie, son in law Pauric, grandchildren Jason, Dana, Peter and William, brother Morrison, sisters May and Evelyn, nieces, nephews, relatives and all the family circle. “Peace Perfect Peace”.

Funeral service in Gowna Parish Church (H12HR22) on Tuesday, April 21 at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. House Strictly Private Please.

Maisie Fee (née Lee), Corryard, Carrick Road, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at her home in her 90th year surrounded in love by her family on Saturday, April 18, 2026 of Maisie Fee (nee Lee) Corryard, Carrick Road, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. 

Predeceased by her husband Philip, parents Pat and Mary Lee and her sister Theresa McWeeney. Deeply loved and sadly missed by her heartbroken family, son Angus, daughter Aisling, son-in-law Padraic, daughter-in-law Claire, grandchildren Laoise, Brogan, Clara, Aaron, Ross and Mark. Her sister Anna McGee, brother-in-law Phadraig Mc Weeney, her nieces, nephews, relatives and her loyal and cherished friends. May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Maisie reposed at her residence on Sunday, April 19 from 3pm to 7pm. Removal to St. Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo on Monday, April 20 for 7pm. Requiem Mass at 11am on Tuesday, April 21 with burial afterwards in the new cemetery.

Margaret (Peggy) O'Rourke (née McLoughlin), Hillstreet, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon / Keshcarrigan, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully in her 93rd year, following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family and in the excellent care of the staff of Lough Erril Nursing Home, Mohill on Friday, April 17, 2026 of Margaret (Peggy) O’Rourke (née McLoughlin), Hillstreet, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon, and formerly of Corrabarrick, Keshcarrigan, Co. Leitrim.

Predeceased by her husband Peter, and her sons Brian and Paul. Peggy will be sadly missed by her family, her son Danny and her daughter Sheila, son-in-law Tommy, cherished grandson Matthew, sister-in-law Annie McLoughlin, nephews, nieces, and a large circle of neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposed in Lough Erril Nursing Home (N41 XE39) on Sunday, April 19 from 5pm until 7pm. Arriving at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Aughrim (N41 PV29) on Monday, April 20 for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Aughrim Cemetery. House private to family and close friends please.
