Held by Sergeant Rowan and Garda Scanlon of Longford Community Gardaí, and assisted by Courtney Corcoran of Longford Community Safety Partnership, the event was organised with a view to helping locals protect their valuables.

Property marking is a simple and effective way to help Gardaí identify stolen items, however it also deters thefts as marked items are difficult to sell on.

The next property marking event will take place in Clonguish, however the date has yet to be confirmed.
