The death occurred peacefully, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness on Monday, April 20, 2026 of Brigid Higgins, No. 1 O'Connell Terrace, Mullingar, Co Westmeath / Longford.
Predeceased by her parents Kathleen and Jack, her sisters Joan and Rene and her brother Peter. Sadly missed by her loving husband Peter, her daughters Caitriona (Castlepollard), Brigid (Mullingar) and Melissa (Ardagh), her sons Padraig (Scotland), Peter and John (Mullingar), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Luie, Veronica, Patricia and Mary, her brothers Dan and Fr. Seamus Whelan S.C.A. (Argentina), nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing in Shaws Funeral Home, Bishop's Gate Street, Mullingar, (N91 RY65) on Tuesday, April 21 from 6pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday, April 22 from her daughter Melissa's home in Lyanmore to St. Brigid's Church, Ardagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Thomas Joseph (Joe) Fee, The Bronx, New York and formerly of Derryhallagh, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully in The Bronx, New York aged 80 years old on Saturday, April 4, 2026 of Thomas Joseph Fee (known as Joe), The Bronx, New York and formerly of Derryhallagh, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by his wife Eufemmia. Beloved eldest son of the late Mary Kate and Philip Fee, Derryhallagh, Drumshanbo. Predeceased also by his brother Philip. Joe will be sadly missed by his beloved sister Marian and brother Liam, by his brother in law and sister in law, nieces, nephews and extended family including a wide circle of friends both in the United States and Ireland. A special mention to Maura, his beloved cousin and friend who took great care of Joe in his final years of life.
Joe left Ireland in 1964 but remained deeply connected to his roots, returning regularly to visit family and friends. He had a keen interest in all things Leitrim and took great joy in meeting people from the home county, always cherishing these shared connections. He will indeed be remembered as a kind and helpful man who lived a simple life well. May he rest in eternal peace.
The remains will be interred in the family plot following the 11am Mass at St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo on Saturday, April 25. May the road rise up to meet him. May the wind be always at his back. May the sun shine warm upon his face And the rains fall soft upon his fields And until we meet again May God hold him in the palm of his hand.

The death occurred peacefully in Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 18, 2026 of Alfie Halliday, Cormore, Arva, Co Cavan.
Alfie will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Iris, sons John and William, daughters Sylvet and Barbara, daughter in law Debbie, son in law Pauric, grandchildren Jason, Dana, Peter and William, brother Morrison, sisters May and Evelyn, nieces, nephews, relatives and all the family circle. “Peace Perfect Peace”.

The death occurred peacefully at her home in her 90th year surrounded in love by her family on Saturday, April 18, 2026 of Maisie Fee (nee Lee) Corryard, Carrick Road, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her husband Philip, parents Pat and Mary Lee and her sister Theresa McWeeney. Deeply loved and sadly missed by her heartbroken family, son Angus, daughter Aisling, son-in-law Padraic, daughter-in-law Claire, grandchildren Laoise, Brogan, Clara, Aaron, Ross and Mark. Her sister Anna McGee, brother-in-law Phadraig Mc Weeney, her nieces, nephews, relatives and her loyal and cherished friends. May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Maisie reposed at her residence on Sunday, April 19 from 3pm to 7pm. Removal to St. Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo on Monday, April 20 for 7pm.
