This is the 32nd year of the Longford Multiple Sclerosis Christmas Day run, in aid of the Longford branch of MS Ireland, and the event returns to normal taking place from Newtowncashel to Lanesboro.
One of the organisers Michael Flood explained, “We are also giving people who can't make it on the day the option to run the distance virtually wherever suits themselves.”
He added, “Over the past 31 years we've raised over €161,000 for Longford MS and despite the event being virtual for the last two years donations continued and hopefully will increase this year. We are asking people to join in with us on the day and donate any sponsorship directly at https://www. gofundme.com/f/ms- christmas-day-run-2022”
