Launch of Longford Sláintecare Healthy Communities

Longford Sláintecare Healthy Communities will be launched by Minister of State for Public Health, Wellbeing and National Drugs Strategy, Frank Feighan at Longford County Council this Monday, (December 5) at 10am.


Sláintecare Healthy Communities aims to deliver improved access to services to improve and promote healthier lifestyle behaviours.


It includes enhanced community houses at Ardnacassa and MacEoin Park in Longford Town.
Longford Town is one of 19 areas in the country to deliver this national cross-Government initiative.


Representatives from Longford Sláintecare Healthy Communities, Longford County Council, the Health Service Executive, the Department of Health and Longford Community Resources Limited, Employment Development Information (EDI) Centre and Lus na Gréine Family Resource Centre will be in attendance.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
