Longford students raise funds for Ballymahon St Vincent de Paul with Christmas jumper day

Ballymahon Vocational School principal Michael O'Rourke and teacher Thomas Dennigan, along with BVS students presenting a cheque for €700 to SVP Ballymahon

In recent days, Ballymahon Vocational School presented €700 to the Ballymahon St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal.

All funds were raised by the BVS community as part of their Christmas Jumper fundraiser.

The school wish to thank their link person at SVP Ballymahon, Sr Vincent. 

A school spokesperson said, "Throughout the years we have worked closely with Sr Vincent at Ballymahon SVP. We wish to record our thanks to Sr Vincent for her enormous contribution, quietly, to the Ballymahon area and beyond.

"Her great work, care, help and good example is most encouraging to each and everyone of us over the years. Thank you Sr Vincent for all you do. We hope our donation will help people in need within our community this Christmas time."
