Divers attached to Dundalk Sub Aqua Search and Rescue Unit travelled to Howth last weekend, to join in the search for a man that has been missing from last Monday.

Two of their boats were involved in the search which was concentrated in the Balscadden beach area of Howth.

The group say a number of divers entered the water several times, while the second boat maintained a surface search just beyond the entrance to Howth Harbour.

Nothing of significance was discovered.

However they remain on standby, and should the circumstances change will return to the site to rejoin the search.
