Dundalk Sub Aqua Club take to the water for first dive of the year

Dundalk Sub Aqua Club took to the water for their first dive of the year at the weekend.

January is the scheduled month for fitness & assessment to dive for the group and it's also the beginning of open water training for divers, for the year 2023.

Whilst it was bitter cold, it didn't deter the hardy bunch who undertook a 30min dive, depth approx 20m at a temperature of  3°.

“Congratulations to Joe Murphy, she was the 1st diver of the year to enter the water, a task that is bestowed to the honourable few.”

Dundalk Sub Aqua Search and Rescue Unit trains all year round and are always on call should their services be required.

They work closely with all the emergency agencies throughout the island of Ireland.

They are a group of Volunteer divers & say they will always be available if called upon.
