Cólaiste Rís Transition Year Art students attended a workshop recently at Creative Spark in Dundalk.

Art tutor Michael Stafford demonstrated the process of screen printing and taught them the techniques of printing before the group of students printed their own originally designed t-shirts.

The students spent several art classes with artist Michael designing their logos before going to Creative Spark's print studio.

When there, they were shown how to print their originally designed logos on to their t-shirts.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Many thanks to their tutor Michael Stafford for organising this as it was a very enjoyable experience for our TY students.

“Thanks also to Mr. Campbell for accompanying the pupils,

The art students have also done sculpture, book making and painting with Michael.
